Reviewer Guidelines

Papers submitted to Jurnal Hukum Keluarga are reviewed and selected by the Editorial Team based on the suitability of the research fields, adherence to the journal’s template, and compliance with writing guidelines. Eligible papers will be returned to the authors for revision before being sent for peer review.


1. Presentation

  • Does the paper present a cohesive argument?

  • Are the ideas clearly articulated and logically structured?

2. Writing

  • Does the title accurately reflect the content of the manuscript?

  • Is the writing clear, concise, and easy to follow?

3. Length

  • Are there portions that should be expanded, removed, condensed, summarized, or combined?

4. Title

  • Is the title concise and reflective of the main results or conclusions?

  • Are unnecessary abbreviations avoided?

5. Abstract

  • Does the abstract contain:

    1. Aim of the study

    2. Methodology

    3. Key findings or results

    4. Conclusion?

6. Introduction The introduction should clearly describe:

  • The background of the study.

  • Relevant research to justify the manuscript’s novelty.

  • Gap analysis and novelty statement.

  • Hypothesis or problem statement (if applicable).

  • Approach to addressing the research problem.

7. Methods

  • The methodology should be detailed enough for replication.

  • Clearly describe research procedures, location, participants, instruments, and data analysis methods.

8. Results and Discussion

  • Are the results presented in a structured and comprehensible manner?

  • Are tables or figures used effectively to summarize processed data?

  • Do the results address the original research questions or objectives?

  • Are the findings consistent with previous studies or do they provide new insights?

  • Is there a scientific interpretation of the findings?

  • Are research implications and limitations discussed?

  • Are future research directions suggested?

9. Conclusion

  • Does the conclusion answer the research objectives?

  • Are the key implications or recommendations provided (if applicable)?

  • Is the conclusion presented in a paragraph format (not as bullet points)?


Review Decisions Based on the review, one of the following decisions will be made:

  1. Accept Submission

  2. Revisions Required

  3. Resubmit for Review

  4. Resubmit Elsewhere

  5. Decline Submission
