Author Guidelines

GENERAL GUIDELINES 

  1. Articles must be original (not plagiarism) and have never been published in another journal. If ever presented in the form of seminars, workshops, etc., say the name of the activity;
  2. Articles are written by a program Microsoft Word 2007 to the top, A4 size paper, typed with a line 1 density spacing, font Century font 11, text format in one column;
  3. For table, chart, and picture, embedded by adding "add space before/after paragraf" in the line spacing option;
  4. Please submit your manuscript file as a Microsoft Word extension Document (DOC) or Rich Text Format (RTF);
  5. Title and Abstract write in Indonesian and English, the content manuscript can be written in Indonesian or English

The manuscript should be 4,500-7,000 words in length and structured as follows:

  1. Title: Concise and informative, maximum 15 words, reflecting the main variables discussed in the article.

  2. Author’s Name: Without titles; can be an individual or a team.

  3. Affiliation: Name of the institution.

  4. E-mail Address: Below the author's name.

  5. Abstract: 200-300 words, written in one paragraph including:

    • Scientific review articles: Core discussion and substantial issues.

    • Research articles: Objectives, methods, and results.

    • Abstract should be single-spaced.

  6. Keywords: 3-7 terms that reflect the main concepts within the scope of the problem.

  7. Introduction (2-3 pages):

    • Background of the study and significance.

    • Literature review.

    • Research gap or novelty statement.

  8. Methods:

    • Type of research, approach, data sources, and analysis method.

    • Should provide a mechanism to analyze Islamic legal issues (if applicable).

  9. Results and Discussion:

    • Presented in sub-sections according to study findings.

    • Tables and figures should be properly labeled and referenced in the text.

  10. Conclusion:

    • Brief summary of findings and discussion.

    • Avoid repetition from previous sections.

  11. References:

    • Sources must be relevant and published within the last 10 years.

    • Use Chicago Manual of Style 17th Edition (Full Note).


RULES OF CITATION

  • Direct quotations more than 4 lines should be separated from the text with 1.0 spacing and font size 10.

  • Quotations less than 4 lines should be integrated into the text with double quotation marks.

  • Use footnotes for citations, following theCite Them Right 10th edition – Harvard.

  • Quran citations should include surah name, surah number, and verse number (e.g., Qs. Al-Mu’min [40]: 43).

  • Hadith citations should mention the compiler’s name (e.g., H.R. al-Bukhari and Muslim).

  • Citation management software (Mendeley, Zotero, etc.) should be used.


GUIDELINES FOR RESEARCH NOTES

  • A Research Note should report on ongoing or recently completed research that has not been published elsewhere.

  • Should be situated within relevant scholarship, including the author’s related work.

  • Maximum 1,000 words, excluding references and up to two tables or graphs.

  • No abstract required, but authors must include biographical and contact information.

  • Research Notes are reviewed for clarity, organization, length, and adherence to guidelines.


GUIDELINES FOR REVIEW ARTICLES

  • Review Articles should analyze existing literature on a topic within the scope of Jurnal Hukum Keluarga.

  • Should provide critical insights on Islamic Family Law, Islamic Judicial System, and Contemporary Islamic Legal Issues.

  • Manuscripts must be no longer than 7,000 words.

  • Can be written in Indonesian or English.

SUBMISSION

  • Manuscripts must be submitted through the journal’s online system.

  • All submissions undergo double-blind peer review.

  • Authors may be required to revise their manuscripts based on reviewer feedback.

  • There may be article processing charges as per the journal’s policy.
