Authorship and Contributorship

Jurnal Hukum Keluarga adheres to principles of transparency and best practices in scholarly publishing, following the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), and other relevant organizations. This policy ensures clear attribution of contributions to published works. As an open-access journal under the CC-BY-SA license, authors retain copyright while granting broad permissions for distribution and reuse.

Criteria for Authorship

To be considered an author, individuals must meet all the following criteria:

  • Substantial Contributions: Significant involvement in the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the research.

  • Approval of Final Version: All authors must approve the final version before publication.

  • Accountability: Authors should be able to explain and defend the research findings.

Contributorship Statement

To ensure transparency, Jurnal Hukum Keluarga may request a contributorship statement identifying each author's specific contributions. This statement will not be published but should accurately reflect individual roles.

Dispute Resolution

In cases of authorship disputes, the editorial board will follow a structured investigation process. Evidence of contributions must be provided, and guidance from COPE may be sought to ensure a fair resolution. The journal will not be liable for personal disputes among authors.

Changes in Authorship

Requests to modify authorship after submission will only be considered in exceptional cases, with a written explanation from all authors. The editorial board will evaluate such requests carefully.

Honorary and Ghost Authorship

Jurnal Hukum Keluarga strictly prohibits honorary (gift) authorship and ghost authorship. Minor contributors should be acknowledged in the acknowledgment section, not listed as authors.

Declaration of Conflicts of Interest

Authors must disclose any conflicts of interest, including financial interests or affiliations that could impact research interpretation. Full transparency is encouraged.

Compliance with Ethical Guidelines

Authors must adhere to ethical guidelines, including obtaining permissions for copyrighted materials, informed consent for human subjects, and ethical treatment of research subjects.

Review of Authorship Policy

This policy will be periodically reviewed and updated to align with evolving scholarly publishing practices. Any revisions will be communicated to authors and made publicly available on the journal’s website.
