Plagiarism Policy

AZWA: Journal of Islamic Education strictly prohibits all forms of plagiarism and academic misconduct. The journal is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity, originality, and ethical scholarly publishing.

All submitted manuscripts are screened using reliable plagiarism detection software prior to the peer review process. The maximum acceptable similarity index is ≤ 25%, excluding properly cited quotations, references, and commonly used academic terms.


Types of Academic Misconduct

  • Direct plagiarism (verbatim copying without proper citation)
  • Self-plagiarism or redundant publication
  • Improper paraphrasing without appropriate attribution
  • Data fabrication or data falsification

Editorial Action

Manuscripts identified as containing minor similarity issues will be returned to the authors for revision and clarification. However, manuscripts with substantial or intentional plagiarism will be immediately rejected.

If plagiarism or academic misconduct is discovered after publication, AZWA reserves the right to issue corrections, expressions of concern, or retractions in accordance with established publication ethics guidelines.
